The Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, October 29th, honored local individuals and businesses for their service to the Muncie community over the last year.

The Chamber presented the Spirit of Small Business Award to Dalton and Company Professional Cleaning Supply. Owned and operated by Sue Dalton, Dalton and Company has built a reputation of excellent customer service. Dalton opened her business in 2003 and her company has increased gross revenues each year and has grown over 1400% since inception. She, along with her family, is very involved in the community.

Dalton said receiving the Spirit of Small Business Award is an affirmation of the team she has supporting her business.

“A team is what makes you successful, and I have one of the best out there,” Dalton said. “They’ve given me so much and I’m thankful for that.”

Dalton said the company will seek to expand its online presence, including the addition of web-based sales, in the next year. “It’s a big part of the business world these days, so we are moving in that direction,” she said.
